Tackle the fundamentals first – determine your budget – before you get carried away by the many wonderful changes you want to make to your house.
Some home-owners have a mental picture (or magazine cutout!) of what their homes should look like, but when it comes to the budget, they may not have a matching figure. Disappointment will set in, and with that, the potential for disaster.
Whilst some families will (wisely) review the A&A in order to put budget over beauty, other home-owners may choose to compromise. They may work with contractors to cut corners, whom may resort to unsafe practices or use inferior products in order to get the desired ‘look’, and still keep within the (unrealistic) budget.
