We are currently looking for highly qualified professionals of who will act with integrity and impartiality. Those who join our Independent Panels are expected to act fairly and without bias between Meridian Homes and her clients.

Independent Valuers Panel

Qualifications:

To be a member of the Independent Valuer Panel, the following requisites must be met:

  1. Degree in a qualified institution of higher learning in one of the professional trades in the building industry namely, Engineering, Architecture, Surveying or any other building-related professions.
  2. Professionally registered in their respective profession in their country, and be able to stand up to scrutiny as a practising professional.
  3. 15 years post-education experience in their related field.
Registrations:

Members of the panel are appointed once every 2 years. Invitation to participate in the next update listing, will be published by Meridian Homes in the Straits Times in the ‘Notices’ section [click here] . Professionals who wish to be considered to be on the panel, or be informed of the next public announcement, should register their interest with us. As we anticipate work in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia, we welcome professionals from these countries to register their interest with us at enquiries@meridianhomes.com.sg

Professionalism:

Whilst the concept of the Independent Valuer [click here], is a Meridian Homes initiative, we and our clients, nevertheless expect members to perform true to their professional role, and be impartial in their decisions. Members on the Panel, if selected as the Independent Valuer by our clients, are remunerated on a fixed scale over the entire duration of the project.

Remuneration:

Remuneration for the current financial year is S$2,000 per project. This cost includes for transportation and a simple certification to verify a stage completion. No monetary or time assessment to the project is required, nor a certification of the quality of construction. Meridian Homes proudly pursues a policy of excellence, and shoulder all qualitative aspects of construction well beyond the industry period of maintenance.

Preference:

Please note that this is not a full-time appointment. Preference is given to professionals who are self-employed or running their own professional practice, or to those who can avail themselves over the brief period of inspection. Typically, some 14 visual inspections are required to be performed over a period of 6 – 14 months.

Independent Witness Panel

Qualifications:

To be a member of the Independent Witness Panel, the following requisites are to be met:

  1. Diploma, or higher.
  2. Registered with Building Construction Authority as certified Clerk-of-Works (Architecture/Structure), or any industry related professional qualifications.
  3. 15 years experience in the industry.
  4. Additional qualifications like Safety Supervisor, Scaffolding Supervisor, would be a helpful indicator of knowledge & experience.

Members of the panel are appointed once every 2 years. Professionals who wish to be considered to be on the next panel, or be informed of the next public announcement, should register their interest with us. As we anticipate work in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia, we welcome professionals with equivalent standing and qualifications from these countries to register their interest with us at enquiries@meridianhomes.com.sg

Professionalism:

Whilst the concept of the Independent Witness [click here], is a Meridian Homes initiative, we and our clients, nevertheless expect members to perform true to their professional role, and be impartial in their decisions. You are required to report your observations direct to our clients with no intervention whatsoever from Meridian Homes.

Remuneration:

Members on the Panel, if selected as the Independent Valuer by our clients for a project, are remunerated on a fixed scale over the entire duration of the project. Remuneration for the current financial year is S$100 per visit, which is expected to take no more than 1 hour per visit.

This fee includes for transportation and a simple verification/witness of key stages like the application of waterproofing, paint sealant, damp proof course, and others. Typically, they relate to processes or applications which would normally be covered-up by subsequent finishing layers during construction. You shall not be held responsible for the quality of the works, but merely as an independent witness to the key stages of construction. Meridian Homes proudly pursues a policy of construction excellence, and shoulder all qualitative aspects of every works well beyond the industry period of maintenance.

You are required to own at least a 6- megapixel digital camera to capture key photos of the to file as documentary proof. In addition, there is a simple 2-page standard report format to be completed to record your personal professional witness on the works.

Typically, some 20 inspections are required to be performed over a period of 6 – 14 months.
